It is a great time to proclaim Christ’s birth and the true “Reason for the Season!”
MEM church would like to present ‘A Hallelujah Christmas Nativity’ this year!
Experience the true meaning of Christmas and the greatest story ever told as the children of MEM Church perform a scene reminding us of what happened the night Jesus was born.
Let us all come together and celebrate this season of joy and hope for salvation.”

Scene 1
(Narrator 1 says summary of the couple / Angel appears to Mary- quick scene)

Mary is filling water in a bucket and joseph is pretending to hammer a wood piece.
Narrator 1: (Keziah)
A young woman named Mary lived in a village called Nazareth, a town in Galilee. She had recently become engaged to a carpenter named Joseph. **(Focus lights only on Mary here)** Mary was an ordinary Jewish girl, looking forward to marriage. One day an angel Gabriel came to her and suddenly her life changed forever. Let’s take a look.
- (Mary passes by and goes to a corner to put a bucket of water down and sits while wiping sweat off after doing hard work.)

“Mary! You are chosen by the Lord! The Lord has blessed you and He is with you!”
- (Mary acts startled and confused while sitting)
Gabriel Angel (Johan Paulson):
“Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God! Come, the Lord God has sent me to tell you that you will give birth to a son and you will name him Jesus.”
Mary (Becky):
“How can this be since I have not been with man?”
Gabriel Angel (Johan Paulson):
“Mary, God’s Holy Spirit will come upon you, your child will be great and be called the Son of the Most High. Do not doubt the will of God. Even your cousin Elizabeth has conceived a son even when people said that she was too old to have children. With God nothing is impossible.
Mary (Becky):
- (Go on knees and hands together, looking at angel)
“I am the Lord’s servant. Let this happen as you say, and may His will be done.” (Mary’s head facing down)
**Dim lights on Mary and Gabriel now**
BEGIN NATIVITY SCENE
Narrator 2: (Karanveer Suniar)-(dressed up as Shepard-greets the audience):
“Good evening visitors of Bethlehem! Welcome! Shalom! I would like to invite you to travel back in time with us, as we watch Joseph and pregnant Mary travel from Nazareth to witness a miracle, where our Lord Jesus Christ, our savior was born, in a little town called Bethlehem!”

I’ve heard about this baby boy
Who’s come to earth to bring us joy

Immanuel has come to earth
the Virgin Mary given birth into a world that sings Hallelujah

(Angels spin away from the center to the sides of the manger, swaying side to side)
(Mary and Joseph and Baby horse walks in searching for a place to stay and walk towards inn keepers)
A couple came to Bethlehem
Expecting child, they searched the inn
To find a place for You were coming soon
There was no room for them to stay (inn keeper shakes head no, and points to go to the manger)
So in a manger filled with hay
God’s only Son was born, oh Hallelujah (Hold up a sheet to give Mary privacy to deliver baby)
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah (Mary place baby in the basket, so all can adore baby Jesus)
The shepherds left their flocks by night (Angel walks to shepherds and tells to go see baby Jesus)
To see this baby wrapped in light
A host of angels led them all to You (Shepherds get up and walk towards manger)
It was just as the angels said
You’ll find Him in a manger bed
Immanuel and Savior, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah (Shepherds go on knees , Bow before baby Jesus, hands together)
A star shown bright up in the east (Shining star enters stage) (Wise men enters, first person points at shining star)
To Bethlehem, the Wise Men three (Walk towards manger)
Came many miles and journeyed long for You
And to the place at which You were
Their frankincense and gold and myrrh (Wise men 1 place first gift on ground, bow, kneel on ground- joseph side)
They gave to You and cried out Hallelujah (Wise men 2 place second gift, and bow, kneel on ground- joseph side)
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah (Wise men 3 place third gift, and bow, kneel on ground- joseph side)
I know You came to rescue me (Angels come together, dance in center, as Big Jesus walks in)
This baby boy would grow to be
A man and one day die for me and you (Big Jesus walks across stage, passing by)
My sins would drive the nails in You
That rugged cross was my cross, too
Still every breath You drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah (Angels go back to manger side, 3 on each side)
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah (everyone stand together smiling, facing audience to take a bow)
